RSE student Mujdat Ozgunay says, “Confession is good for the soul.”
Here is Mujdat’s story in his own words:

“In December of 2013, I won two Seahawks suite tickets at the Red Wind Casino, value of probably more than $1000. However, I gave away my winning tickets to a stranger.

My great story and learning form this is as follows:
I have been focusing on my name appearing on the Draw board at the Red Wind Casino for quite a while, without specifying any type of winning.

One December afternoon, my neighbor Jack Vasayon won $1,000 at the Drawing while he was playing roulette and I was the one who warned him about his name being on the board [as a Draw winner]. Because he was so occupied with his winning of few hundred dollars on the roulette table, I had to poke him to go collect his Draw prize. We went to collect the money together and I told the lady (announcer) that I will be the next winner and expressed my concern about my name to be pronounced properly…jokingly of course.

During an afternoon of the following week, Jack and I attended the 5:00pm drawing for $1,000, yet we didn’t win that day. At 5:30 pm, while I was watching the roulette table, I heard my name being announced perfectly, and to my amazement when I looked up, I saw my name on the Draw board.
I had no idea about what I won!
When I got to the collection spot, they told me I had won Seahawks football tickets for the upcoming week.
I was thinking, ‘oh… no…I don’t care for football tickets.’
I am into many sports but not football.

At that moment my thinking process was this:
‘I have never been interested in football games and don’t know anything about them and why not pass to someone who likes the game and enjoy it.’
I guessed the per-seat ticket price $100 or little more than that. At that time, it had never occurred to me that the tickets were located in the pricey suites. Without asking any questions, I quickly passed on those winnings and they continued to draw.

Shortly after, I learned a lot from my friends about football and the different type of tickets, their prices and many other things. They all educated me well and exclaimed why I didn’t claim the tickets and give to them instead. Now, they don’t want to see me anymore.

It has been a great unforgettable experience for me; I made a decision too fast because of my dislike and lack of knowledge about football. The comforting part was that I have manifested my dream
[that I actually did win a Draw without specifying any type of winning].
I also made some stranger very happy during Christmas season.
ALL IS WELL & FOCUS ALWAYS WORKS.strong>

I know, whether in the casino or somewhere else, I WILL win again.
When that occurs, I will collect my winnings and share my experiences here with my fellow students.
SO BE IT.”
