RSE student Bill Hashim has submitted his candidacy for the Yelm Community Schools Board of Directors. His name is on the Primary Ballot of August 6, 2013.
Read Bill’s statement in his own words:
“I love the pursuit of knowledge and I love children. What better combination is there for someone who wants to sit on an educational board of directors? I’m running for Yelm Community Schools, School Board Director for District #1. Yelm Schools do a fine job of preparing children for post high school education. My three children had gone to Yelm High School and have all graduated from college [all three of Bill’s & former wife Rosalie’s children grew-up in RSE and apply The Great Work in their lives]. I am a strategic planner by profession with skills in the group process. As a board member I want to explore ways to improve our graduation rate and to understand why only 55% of our children go off to college. In the meantime, I will work with other board members to continue to fine tune our educational process while keeping up with changes in educational philosophy.”
