New way to navigate brain circuitry –
Ramtha’s teachings on the brain span decades

“MIT scientists find way to more easily map the brain”
“Massachusetts Institute of Technology scientists examining the intricate network of brain cells that underlie sight, thought, and psychiatric disease had a running joke in the laboratory: let’s just make everything bigger. If they could simply enlarge brain cells, they reasoned, the task of mapping the circuits would be easier.

Now, they have found a way to do just that, using a technique that has shades of a 1950s science fiction movie.

But instead of spawning killer ants or a 50-foot giantess, the researchers have found a controlled way to cause a tissue sample swell to roughly four and a half times its size — enough to make features of brain cells or cancer cells discernible under conventional microscopes,” quoting Carolyn Y. Johnson, Boston Globe.

“Neuroplasticity Studies Reveal Your Brain’s Amazing Malleability”
“A recent study discussed in Scientific American2 illuminates your brain’s remarkable ability to rewire itself in response to experience. Mice with amblyopia or “lazy eye” (partial blindness caused by visual deprivation early in life) improved faster if they were exposed to visual stimuli while running on a treadmill,” quoting Dr. Mercola.

“Building on their earlier work that suggested people who meditate have less age-related atrophy in the brain’s white matter, a new study found that meditation appeared to help preserve the brain’s gray matter, the tissue that contains neurons,” quoting the University of California – Los Angeles in Science Daily.

“Research suggests that personality traits like optimism and having a sense of purpose can benefit your health in a number of different ways, and ultimately help you live longer.

One recent study1,2 has even linked having a sense of purpose in life to reduced odds of suffering a stroke. More than 450 elderly were included in the study, and underwent annual physical and psychological evaluations until their death.”

“EyeWire Is Making Neuroscience Research Cool Again”
“Thanks to a little startup sprouting up from Boston, I was able to map out a small section of a neuron through EyeWire, a company that’s gamifying its neuroscience research in order to enlist the help of people from all over the world.

To understand how the brain works, scientists need to figure out how electrical impulses travel through its vast network of 85 billion neurons, connected through 100 trillion synapses. And to do this, they need to map the structure and connections of all these neurons. Enter EyeWire, a company that’s crowdsourcing this mapping process with a fun and addictive online game.

‘I think that exploring the brain is the greatest adventure of all time. It seemed natural to invite the world to join the quest,’ says EyeWire’s founder, Sebastian Seung,” quoting Kevin Raposo, TechCrunch.

“Artifical neuron mimicks function of human cells”
“Scientists at Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet have managed to build a fully functional neuron by using organic bioelectronics. This artificial neuron contain no ‘living’ parts, but is capable of mimicking the function of a human nerve cell and communicate in the same way as our own neurons do,” quoting Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet.

“It feels instantaneous, but how long does it really take to think a thought?”
“The time it takes for all thoughts to occur is ultimately shaped by the characteristics of the neurons and the networks involved. Many things influence the speed at which information flows through the system, but three key factors are:
* Distance
* Neuron Characteristics
* Complexity”

“It’s amazing to consider that a given thought can be generated and acted on in less than 150 ms,” from The Conversation.

– “Ramtha on the Brain’s Neuronet” from his 1990′s teachings

“What is thought? Pictures. Where did the pictures come from? The brain. Does a brain have its own way of thinking? Yes, it is called personality. A personality is the sum total of neuronet programming. Emotion is the hormone reaction to that neuronet personality. That means that as a little child you were allowed to grow and to explore and to become — it is called the time of innocence — before a great maturity took you over. That maturity was the deep wisdom of your Spirit.

“What happens is you have formulated a really rigid way of thinking. You haven’t allowed your brain to mix it up yet . . . Why is it important to change the program? Because when you change the program you change the pictures . . . Then we begin to think anew. The brain starts to react anew. The Spirit starts filling you with a feeling that feels right.”

“You have held together people, places, things, times, and events in your life, everything you have done, by the personality. It holds it into place. . . . There is a continuous Observer. The brain personality is the cumulative Observer in the field of energy. Everything you can see in your life, every person that you know intimately in your life, everything you ever did in your life, the four walls that you call the hovel in your life, are all held together by the cumulative effect of the yellow brain’s personality. That is who you are, all the way to the kinds of pictures you hang on the wall and your favorite colors. Your favorite colors are the predominant neuronet in the brain everything will be colored by. You cannot think without the brain. Thinking is the firing of a sequence of thoughts, and each thought is hooked up to a neuron. When they fire cumulatively, they produce a picture.

“We can change the picture. We can turn yellow into a sun or into a banana. At will we can make the computer form the picture. Whatever we rest upon is what is causing reality out here to be held into place . . . You don’t have to take my word for it. Go ask your scientists in quantum mechanics. Say to them, ‘What is the world really made out of?’ and they will look at you and say, ‘Energy.’

“ ‘How did this all get this way?’ And they will say, ‘I beg your tolerance, but I can only speculate. It is our understanding that the world got this way through someone thinking it this way.’ “

Ramtha’s detailed teachings on the hippocampus go back 2 decades.
– STUDY OF THE ENERGY BANDS AND CENTERS
“The amygdala and hippocampus are both glands that are located near the midbrain. They are both involved in laying down long-term memory in bits of information that when activated can activate long-latent neuronets in the neocortex to bring up and re-remember long-time memories into present states of being. They are also dynamically involved in thoughts that are split between genders of male and female.”

– COMING TO CRITICAL MASS
“Whatever you think holographically turns on which gland of the amygdala, the hippocampus? Which of those retain long memory? The hippocampus. And why? Because it holds the long memory of thought. The hippocampus releases neuropeptides in the brain that enact the exact drama happening in the frontal lobe. When they are released, those peptides mimic the frontal lobe of the brain’s holographic thought.
You have the thought, then the hippocampus releases the chemicals that match the thought, and the thought came from the firing of the neurons in the brain. That is information. Why does it do that, long-term memory? Because the only thing that it knows how to do is to reinforce what is already known to the body, and the body then gets all of those neuropeptides from the hippocampus through the bloodstream. The hippocampus is a ductless gland of the limbic system, the emotional body. And every cell gets the neuropeptides when they are dumped into the bloodstream. Why is that important? Because every cell needs to know exactly what your commands are in the frontal lobe.”

Introduction

– THE OBSERVER — PART I
“ATP is a peptide that flows from the hippocampus through the limbic system to the adrenals. ATP causes the adrenal cortex to deliver steroids to the body which gives you the high of redemption. That is where the energy comes from. Adrenaline is instant energy in the body. ATP is necessary to give that high or that energy not only in emergencies but in continual use in the body.”

– DO YOU HAVE A PLAN?
“When you move to a new neighborhood something really remarkable happens in associative memory in the hippocampus — it breaks its connection to the past in twenty-one days. It binds the new associations. What fires together wires together. It is wiring the architecture of the neighborhood. The hippocampus is wiring the brain totally differently into the remarkable because the new neighborhood is inclusive of the remarkable.”
