Webmaster Kirk Diaz on RSE’s technology advances

Mexico Divine Jazz tech Table, March 2014

RSE’s IT Manager, Webmaster and “Techo-Genius” Kirk Diaz describes RSE’s latest technological innovations:

“We just returned from the Mexico Divine Jazz Event and all around it was a great event.

For those of you that like to stay on top on our improvements in the technology sector, we had the most advanced setup to date for a World Tour Event with full HD video input/output.

The photo above shows our setup from the audio board over to the streaming equipment, which was also used to switch the video input to the in-hall screens and the live-stream, the new HD Video switcher used for that is on the far right.

We had the main HD camera for the live shots, 1 portable HD camera use for a static wide shot and the candle during candle focus, and another portable HD camera Marita used for candid videos and for the Q & A sessions to show the questioner.

The two small laptops to the left of the small audio mixer, used for PowerPoints and Video teachings were outputting HD and connected to the switcher via HDMI ports. And finally the video switcher was outputting HD Video to the two HD projectors for displaying camera shots and videos teachings and the stream encoders.

This was our first event with this setup and we were prepared for all scenarios and were able to handle all the variables that came up during the event.”
