YELM, Wash., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — JZK, Inc., the parent company of Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment (RSE), has filed legal action in Thurston County Superior Court, Case No. 12-2-02241-8, to remove proprietary videos across all platforms on the Internet, including YouTube and other Web sites. The distribution and failure to remove the videos are in violation of a written agreement. Individuals distributing the videos have been notified that the failure to remove these videos may be unlawful.

JZ Knight is deeply saddened that videos from a private retreat were manipulated, presented out of context, and unlawfully disseminated by a disgruntled former student and her organization. These videos were used by the Republican party in a political battle to force Democrats to return campaign donations from Knight.

Edited and viewed out of context, the posted video segments were misleading. The segments were taken from a retreat intended to draw participants’ attention to sexual abuses and subsequent cover-ups by the Catholic Church. They were not a criticism of any Catholic or individuals of any persuasion.

Students from RSE encompass all religions and nationalities. Additionally, RSE has a strong record of advocating the benefits of marriage equality for the LGBT community.

RSE has a diverse international audience with students participating in 48 countries and 13 languages. In Mexico alone, more than 2,000 students have participated in RSE events since 1999, with courses and products translated into Spanish to deliver Ramtha’s message. Many international students, including those from Mexico, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America have moved to the Pacific Northwest.
